For Belhaven University's 2024 Homecoming logo, I focused on creating an emblem that balanced boldness and professionalism. I experimented with various typography options, aiming for a strong yet not overpowering look while ensuring the logo remained readable, concise, and visually appealing. One of the challenges was selecting the appropriate Belhaven logos to incorporate into the design. After narrowing down the choices, I created two variations using the university's main logos. I chose a badge-like design for the graphics version, as it felt more compact and versatile for social media use. Additionally, I developed a quadrilateral logo option to provide Belhaven with a choice that could be utilized across various formats, ensuring flexibility in their marketing materials.
