Tack Room Supply Co. (TRSCo.) is an online store located in Zachary, Louisiana. Founded with a passion for hometown spirit, TRSCo. offers carefully designed clothing and accessories that capture the essence of local culture. The owners aimed to create a place where locals could find the perfect gear to show their support at Zachary High School events and beyond. At its core, TRSCo. is about more than just apparel; it is about fostering a sense of belonging and pride in the place they call home.
brand identity
The owners of Tack Room Supply Co. wanted a logo that felt rustic and homey, embodying the deep-rooted pride of the Zachary community. A key element was the old Zachary High School building, with its distinctive columns and architecture, serving as a symbol of tradition and history. They also wanted to incorporate a horse, representing the school’s mascot, the Broncos. "Tack Room" needed to be a strong focal point, while "Supply Co." was intentionally designed to be smaller. Throughout the design process, I worked closely with the owners, going back and forth numerous times, listening to their feedback, and making adjustments until we landed on the perfect logo.We explored numerous fonts, searching for the perfect balance of rugged and refined, until we found one they loved. The final design strikes the perfect balance—not too girly, not too manly—making it appealing to all ages. Every detail was carefully considered, and because of that, the people of Zachary cherish it as a true reflection of their hometown pride.
BRAND STAMP
In addition to their main logo, the owners of Tack Room Supply Co. wanted a lettermark/brand stamp design that could be easily printed on apparel. Inspired by the traditional brand stamps used on horses, they wanted the "T" and "R" to flow together seamlessly while still maintaining a rustic, cowboy feel. I explored different variations of brand stamps, refining the design with their feedback until we landed on this one.
WORDMARK
The owners of Tack Room Supply Co. also wanted a wordmark logo for use on apparel and accessories, something a bit smaller and simpler than the main logo. This was a straightforward process— we took the original logo and removed the illustration, leaving just the words. The result was a clean, versatile design that could easily be applied across various products while still maintaining the essence of their brand.
